The gas technology manufacturer Witt has unveiled a new development that can measure trace oxygen levels. The gas analyser PA 7.0 now enables reliable analysis in the ppm (parts per million) range.
In many industrial processes, even the smallest amounts of oxygen can cause major problems, such as undesired oxidation.
The PA gas analyser can now detect even trace quantities of oxygen in gaseous media. This is made possible by a highly sensitive zirconium cell, now available as an option.
Witt has thereby extended the PA product series into a totally new dimension of gas analysis.
While the classic PA with chemical sensor measures in increments of 0.1 %, the new zirconium version detects in the ppm range. The accuracy of the measurements is ±5% relative to the measured value.
All measured values are stored, and can downloaded via a standard interface for further processing. Weighing just under 6kg, the PA is only 186 x 285 x 270mm (HxWxD) in size. A sturdy, stainless steel housing protects it.
Witt's new PA version forms part of an extensive product portfolio comprising mobile and stationary systems for countless gas applications especially in food packaging, medical applications, metalworking, glass production as well as in numerous industrial processes requiring a high degree of precision.
